First it started with a simple chocolate review in late 2023, then all of a sudden… Dubai chocolate milkshake, dubai chocolate candles, dubai chocolate perfume, dubai chocolate ice cream, and of course so much more.
Dubai chocolate was established in 2021 by the brand Fix Dessert Chocolate, with the power of influencers, the chocolate drove up to fame instantly, taking on the front page of every social media website with mukbangs and reviews in early 2024. The crunchy-creamy balance with the pistachio cream and knafeh and rich milk chocolate pulled in online viewers, making them want to try it.
This chocolate craze has literally been trending for 1.5 years, I have personally never seen anything like that. Micro trends are constantly zipping by For You Pages on TikTok, however this one stayed, so let’s get to the point, is the chocolate that good?
I have personally tried it, I have had a dubai chocolate bar 3 times as well as dubai chocolate ice cream once, dubai chocolate gelato countless times, and even a dubai chocolate crepe. I hate to feed the fad… But it was pretty good. I do think it depends on the brand you are buying it from, I get my chocolate bars from The Nuts Factory on Newbury St, and I got everything else on a bunch of islands in Greece, but I am almost positive most ice cream or gelato shops have that flavor.
My final opinion is that it is worth the hype, only if you buy it from the right brand. Although the ice cream and gelato, always delicious, no doubt. You don’t get so lucky with the actual chocolate bar, before you buy it, see if you can find a video of the brand online and then reasses. I hope you think it’s as delicious as I think it is!
