WHS SPORTS - Spring Sports on the Way

Spring sports season is coming to Winthrop High School and will take place starting on April 26th (Sailing and Golf started on April 12th) up until around the last day of school. Similar to winter sports, regulations for spring sports have been altered to adapt to the drawbacks that COVID-19 has placed. 

This season of Winthrop High School athletics will consist of… 

  • Baseball:  Head coach will be Mike DeFilce and Assistant Coaches will be Jimmy Adamson and Chris Mercedes. 

 

  • Boys Lacrosse: Head coach will be Brian Donnelly and Assistant Coaches will be Rich Cifuni and Jeff Parsons

 

  • Girls Lacrosse:  Head coach will be Ben Cimmino and Assistant Coaches will be Kailey Gould and Quinton Dale.

 

  • Softball: Head coach will be Dave Guffey and Assistant Coaches will be Jayna Kulas, Amanda Pelletier, and Ronnie Vitale

 

  • Boys Tennis: Head coach will be Marie Finn and Assistant Coach will be Kyle Gagin

 

  • Girls Tennis: Head coach will be Mike Nickerson and Assistant Coach will be Jeff Beck

 

  • Girls Track: Head coach will be Warren MacPhail and Assistant Coach will be Ally Wuerfl 

 

  • Boys Track: Head coach will be Mark D’Amico and Assistant Coach will be Brian Breau
