NFL Predictions as We Enter Into the Divisional Round of Playoffs

(All predictions were created as 1/18/24)

This weekend was incredibly interesting and shocking to many football fans. Their were many upsets, especially the Texans win over the Browns (by a landslide as well), and the underdog Packers beating the Cowboys. Week 2 of the playoffs is this weekend!

AFC

The Texans had an impressive win over the Browns, absolutely crushing them. Although unfortunate for Browns fans who have been waiting a while to see the playoffs, the Texans are doing amazing and will continue on to play hard. The Ravens are a brutal team however and are currently leading the league. It will be a tough game but I think that the Ravens will beat the Texans.

The Chiefs and the Bills have both been playing well recently and have both won crucial home games, vs the Bills and the Steelers. The Chiefs and the Bills played against each other last year, ending with a Chiefs victory. Josh Allen is back for a rematch and both teams will play hard this weekend. I think it’s going to be a Chiefs victory, with how well Mahomes, Kelce, and the Chiefs defense have played. However I think it will be a close game and I want a Buffalo Bills win. I think Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs deserve a ring as well.

NFC

The Packers with new quarterback Jordan Love greatly upset the Cowboys who were greatly projected to win. The Packers are pushing forward and will play the 49ers. Although I hope that the Packers win (I’m a big Jordan Love fan), it’s incredibly likely the 49ers will crush the Packers and continue on. The 49ers have amazing players on both offense and defense, with star players Brock Purdy, Nick Bosa, and Christian McCaffrey, who will cause lots of problems to the young Packers.

The Buccaneers had an impressive win over the Eagles (as a Eagles fan I’m still pretty mad about this). The Buccaneers will go to play the who just Lions who barely clinched a 1 point lead against the Rams. The Lions are in the playoffs for the first time in 32 years and are excited to cause some damage against other teams. The Buccaneers against the Lions will likely be an incredibly exciting game as two underdogs play each other in the second round. I personally believe the Lions will win and I hope they make it far into the playoffs.

For a summary, I believe that the Ravens will clinch a win over the Texans, the Chiefs will barely beat the Bills, the 49ers will dominate over the Packers, and the Lions will secure the win over the Buccaneers.

I’m excited to see how everything unravels this weekend! Until next week.
