Marvel is known for making exciting shows based on their comics and movies. Therefore, it was no surprise when they decided to make one for Agatha Harkness, everyone’s favorite nosy neighbor from WandaVision. The show is titled Agatha All Along, which is a nod to Agatha’s theme song. The two-episode premiere took place on the night of September 18th. Prior to this date, the show has been creating excitement amongst fans. During D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event some of the main cast members performed a song from the series entitled The Ballad of The Witches’ Road. Fans loved this performance, discussing their anticipation to see how the characters are being portrayed. The cast for this show is also a big discussion point because it has many famous actors and actresses, including Kathryn Hahn, Joe Locke, Aubrey Plaza, and Patti LuPone. Now that the first two episodes of the show have been released, people are taking it upon themselves to come up with many fan theories and are diving into the mysteries hidden within the show.
Agatha All Along centers around Agatha Harkness, the antagonist from WandaVision. For those of you who haven’t watched WandaVision, Agatha is placed under a spell at the end of the series. This spell causes her to forget who she is and forces her to live a normal life in the town of Westview. Agatha All Along starts as she is caught under this spell.
To start the story out, Agatha is a detective and is working for the police. She is assigned a case by the police captain. This case starts to give her an uneasy feeling, reminding her of the past that she is struggling to remember. During this time she meets a fellow “detective” who has come to work on the case with her. Over the next day, this fellow detective helps Agatha remember her true identity. Agatha eventually remembers who she is, and finds out that the other detective is Rio Vidal (The Green Witch) who is one of Agatha’s enemies. During this time Agatha meets a mysterious “Teen.” He is a young adult who is in search of Agatha. Together, Agatha and Teen collect a group of witches to travel to a very dangerous place known as the Witches Road.
So far, this show tells the story of their journey along the witch’s road, revealing hidden truths and complex backstories along the way. Marvel is releasing an episode a week, up until October 30th when they release the final two episodes. It is a perfect show to watch with the family as Halloween approaches!
