It’s official, the 2002 film Lilo and Stitch has officially announced a live-action film for later this year. Come May 23rd, the theaters will be flooded with people just waiting for the neverending previews for the movie to finally start! A little background on Lilo and Stitch, most of know the characters’ backstories, but if you don’t here’s a little runoff.
Lilo, a young Hawaiian girl, an orphan who has been her family killed in a car accident. No one to raise her, no one, but her sister to watch over her and monitor her safety to make sure she doesn’t get hurt. Stitch, a radical science experiment gone off the hooks, finds itself on earth and forms an unbreakable bond with the orphaned Lilo without her sister, Nani, knowing about a thing.
Dr. Jacques Von Hamsterviel is driven mad with power and determined to find Experiment 626, Stitch, and eliminate him without guilt, mercy, or shame and attempts to not only destroy Stitch but to get rid of all Jumba’s little science experiments. Jumba, the creator of Stitch, not only caused chaos on Earth, but across galaxies, for his name to be feared, and for people to be slaves.
This animated movie was good, but just watching the trailer of this, makes the movie seem even better than the animated movie. If it is half as good as the animated version we’re in for a real treat! So grab your popcorn, grab your drinks and cut off all communication with the outside world to just watch this movie with your cousins or siblings!
