Whenever you’re at a restaurant. Many peoples first decision they’ll do is bring their cup to the fountain drink dispenser. People will stare at these, so many options of sodas, and only one cup. Now many people like me will just combine drinks. When I was younger one of my favorite combinations was combing fruit punch with Orange Soda (usually Fanta). As I got older, I began more extreme ideas like a combination of Sprite, Coke, and Fanta. To make the ultimate decision of what sodas are best though, I decided to rank my top 5 favorite sodas and my least 5 favorite sodas around here and explain their ranking.
The best soda is easily Fanta. Fanta has a uniquely orange color. The orange color gives it an iconic look and makes it very visible to notice. Fanta is also delicious and offers a fruity taste while also keeping the traditional sizzle that soda usually has. Fanta is absolutely the best soda and their is no competition here.
Coke has to take #2 as it’s a classic. Coke is the original fizzy soda and its a staple at nearly every restaurant. Coke also has its distinct brownish color and its what people usually think of when they think soda.
At my #3 I absolutely need to have Ginger Ale. Ginger Ale is a great drink to have when your stomach hurts or you don’t feel good and its iconic “stingy” taste makes it so unique and delicious.
At #4, Sierra Mist is easily the most underrated soda by far. Sierra Mist is often seen as an “alternative” for sprite but it is must better and has a much more lemon like taste. I was questioning even having Sierra Mist as my #3 but ultimately decided not too because very little places offer it. The most iconic Sierra Mist is from Canobie Lake.
At #5, Red MTN Dew easily claims this spot. Red MTN Dew although probably terrible for my heart (its very high in sugar) is very tasty and is perfect. It’s sold nearly everywhere and its iconic memorable taste is perfect.
Now onto the worst 5 sodas,
At #5, I have Barq Root Beer. Root Beer on it’s own is just gross but Barq somehow makes it even worse.
At #4, I have AW Root Beer. Same thing with Barqs but somehow AW does it even worse.
At #3, I have Starry. It’s a gross replica version of Sprite.
At #2, I have 7Up, 7Up is very similar to Sprite but its the 7/11 version and somehow that just makes it worse.
And finally at #1, I have Dr. Pepper. Doctor Pepper is the grossest soda ever created, it tastes like medicine, its a fake version of coke, and it’s extremely overrated. I hate Dr. Pepper.
Next time you have some soda, remember the list and what I recommended! And absolutely never have Dr. Pepper.
