BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS – The Northeastern Huskies (6-11 (2-4)) came from behind and defeated the Elon Phoenix in a thriller, 85-78.

The Huskies’ star shooting guard from Sweden, William Kermoury propeled them to victory, backing his 7 3-pointers and 31 points with an overall statline of 31-5-3. Xavier Abreu followed and went 50% from the field to add 22 more points onto the Huskies’ total.
Bryson Cokley led the way for the Phoenix, as he dropped 26, also picking up 7 assists and 7 rebounds.
Northeastern’s biggest lead of the game came early in the 1st half, when a 20-0 run led them to a 25-6 lead early on. The Huskies’ couldn’t keep the momentum going through the rest of the half, and took a 41-39 lead into halftime.
The 2nd half was a back and forth battle, until a late dunk by Xavier Abreu with only 2:37 left to play put the final nail in the coffin, making the score 77-76 as Northeastern took the lead for the rest of the night.
